The project Mango leather loafers is a project in collaboration with the shoe
museum „Schoenenkwartier“ in Waalweijk. The shoes are part of the muse
um‘s permanent collection.
The shoe is made of 100% natural materials and is therefore naturally degra dable. The alternative leather consists of a mix of mango puree, beeswax, cin namon, lemon and coffee grounds. Natural rubber in combination with coffee grounds and cinnamon was used for the sole and heel.
The concept of the shoe is to produce a sustainable and durable alternative to leather.
